Robert Murphy | Pastor AHBC
Robert Murphy became the Pastor at AHBC in June 2015. He moved to West Texas from Northwest Arkansas where he had served as a youth minister for several years; as pastor in a newly established church; and as a pastor of a church in the Fayetteville area. Pastor Robert and his wife, Tonya, have three daughters and two grandchildren. I suggest that you go to our Events Page

Allan Sabillion | Minister of Youth
I started serving AHBC since 2016. As a former veteran of the Armed Forces, I know what it is to serve our community and our country but most importantly building up and motivating young minds with Christian values. I am originally from Houston, Texas but moved to the U.S. due to my military career. I am 29 years old and married to Diane who is 27 years old. We have been happily married for 7 years. We enjoy working with the youth at AHBC. For fun, I enjoy working on cars and riding motorcycles.
Gary Ragland | Minister of Youth
I am a graduate of Andrews High School and Hardin Simmons University. I have been married to Terri for 34 years and we have two daughters. Bethany, 25 is a student at the Art Institute in San Antonio studying Culinary Management, and Faith 17, is a Senior at AHS. I am in my 28th year of teaching, 17 of those being at Andrews Middle School. I am in charge of all choral activities, as well as UIL spelling, music memory, and the Scripps spelling bee coordinator.cycles.

I begin my church experience with Alamo Heights Baptist Church as a child. I have sponsored and directed the “Mission Friends” “Ministry. Currently, I’m a Children’s Sunday school teacher and the children’s Sunday School Director. Wednesday night, I teach the Children’s Bible Study class. I am on the Children’s Nursery Committee, and have previous experience as the Children’s Choir Director. My father started the Christmas in Action
Program in 1972. This is a ministry that has provided hope to the low income elderly and disabled in communities all across the country since 1972.

I have been attending Alamo Heights Baptist Church for five years. I have 5 years’ experience working in the Children’s Ministry at Alamo Heights. I have 18 years’ experience teaching and working in the Children’s Ministry. I also have three years working with Kindergarten Ministry. My family is actively involved each year with the Christmas in Action
Ministry sponsored by our church. This is a ministry that has provided hope to the low income elderly and disabled in communities all over the country.

Shirley Saxon | Children’s Team Leader/Church Clerk
I have 28 years experience teaching sixth graders in the Midland Independent School System. My husband I have been members of AHBC for three years. I was born in Midland and my three children were born in Midland and still live in Midland. My Husband moved to Midland in 1963. He has 20 years experience teaching 8th graders in Midland Independent School District. We have been married for 45 years. AHBC is a family oriented church. We have many activities for the children.
