Romans 10:13-15
13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” 14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
AHBC is a Southern Baptist Church and participates in many different missionary efforts in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention.

AHBC also emphasizes Christmas in Action, a missions effort begun by Church member Bobby Trimble in 1972 when he was convinced by the message in James 2:15-17 about our faith being demonstrated with actions and not words alone. It focuses on restoration of homes for families which have challenges with their ability to address the maintenance and the structures of their homes.

FOOD pantry

Our Mission Statement:
The Alamo Heights Baptist Church Food Pantry is a committee of volunteers dedicated to assisting those in financial need with food assistance to supplement their food shopping. To that end, the pantry offers one bag of groceries per week, per family. In that bag, we will offer the highest nutritional value available. We gladly accept assistance from public and private aid agencies as well as from members of AHBC and the Greater Permian Basin community. We work in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines for food pantries.
Donations to the food pantry are always welcomed. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Church. Monetary donations designated to the food bank can be submuitted to the AHBC office.
